The Lanark Amateur Musical Society brings Broadway to the Burgh

The Lanark Amateur Musical Society (LAMS) returns to the stage at Lanark Memorial Hall later this month with their new musical revue LAMSTRAVAGANZA.

A fantastic evening awaits audiences, March 25-26, who will be treated to a range of popular Broadway hits from shows such as Mamma Mia, Wicked, We Will Rock You, Les Miserables and Moulin Rouge.

There are also plenty of new hits to enjoy from modern productions like Little Shop of Horrors, American Idiot, Legally Blonde and Shrek the Musical! The singers on stage will be accompanied by a live band.

LAMS President Janet Whyte said: “I can’t wait to see the club back on stage and get the chance to perform in front of a live audience.

“It’s been fantastic to get back to rehearsals after such a long break during the pandemic, seeing some familiar faces and welcoming new members to the club.

“LAMSTRAVAGANZA really has a brilliant selection of songs that I’m sure audiences will love and our cast is so talented. The pandemic has really highlighted how important it is to be able to sing, dance and listen to live music with others.

“As ABBA said – ‘Without song or dance, what are we?’

“It will be a pleasure to be back on the memo stage and I hope to see you there!”

LAMSTRAVAGANZA tickets are priced at £12 for adults and £10 for concessions. Tickets are available online or by calling the box office on 01555 673 199.
