Tesco Community Grants Program funds available for North Wales groups

FUNDING is now available from the Tesco Community Grants Program for non-profit organizations based in North Wales, community groups or registered charities.

The Tesco Community Grants program is now open for applications, with priority given to projects that provide food and support to young people.

The following are examples of eligible applications focusing on food security, children and youth:

• A local school needing help buying food for a children’s breakfast club,

• A voluntary organization working with families to run a food bank,

• An association supporting young people with specialized advice to manage mental health,

• A brownie or a scout group in need of new camping equipment,

• Kitchen equipment for a youth project to create a holiday club,

• Support a community center wishing to organize a Christmas meal or meals-on-wheels service,

• A healthy eating project that helps families cook healthy meals on a budget,

• A local friend from a park group who wants to develop a new area for toddlers.

Groundwork North Wales works as a facilitator for the Tesco Community Grants Program in North Wales and seeks applications from North Wales based non-profit organizations, community groups or charities recorded.

Tesco Community Grants have funded thousands of local projects across the country. Since 2016, the program has supported more than 40,000 community groups with more than £ 90million in grants. Tesco Community Grants will select 3 projects / good causes from the apps that need a little extra help in your area and when a customer receives a blue token, in any Tesco store at checkout they can vote for his favorite among the three selected project / good causes to receive a grant by putting the blue token in the Tesco Community Grants box.
