Sky Blues Wins Top Awards at Southport Budgerigar Society Golden Bird Show

Best in Show winner Graham Ball with club president David O’Neil

The Southport Budgerigar Society (SBS) hosted its annual ‘Golden Bird’ Membership Show on Sunday October 3rd at the Park Golf Club in Southport, Merseyside.

With the relaxation of Covid-19 regulations, the show was staged on a short-term basis. Some members were unable to attend due to previous commitments, including attending the National Bird Show in Stafford.

Judge for the day was Alan Grice and a total of 55 birds were entered.

Churchtown enthusiast Graham Bell took home the award for best bird in the show with an outstanding normal sky blue rooster.

Novice Christ Clarke took home the award for best young bird in the show with a Normal Sky Blue rooster.

The company thanked Alan Grice for accepting their invitation to judge as well as the Park Golf Club staff who provided the refreshments for the duration of the show.
