County Humane Society to Host Golf Ball Drop Fundraiser Saturday | Community

Join in the fun and get ready for an “unpredictable” experience on the green while supporting your local humane society and the chance to win $1,000.

The Stephens County Humane Society (SCHS) will hold its Humane Society Golf Ball Drop fundraiser for the shelter on Saturday.

The Golf Ball Drop event will take place at 1 p.m. on May 14 at Jack Wininger Dog Park in Duncan, where one lucky winner will receive $1,000 if the number they choose appears on the golf ball that lands closest to the pin.

Community members can donate $10 and they will be assigned a specific numbered ball. It’s $10 for a golf ball and $100 equals 10 golf balls, but you don’t need to be present to win.

According to a statement, golf balls will be thrown onto the numbered field using a fire ladder and the ball closest to the pin and flag will receive the prize money.

According to a statement, thanks to these donations, the shelter is able to operate and help adopt hundreds of animals each year.

The Golf Ball Drop is sponsored by the Duncan Golf and Tennis Club. Jack Wininger Dog Park is located at 15th and Cypress in Duncan.
