Superior: The Thaddeus Kosciuszko Fraternal Aid Society (Polish club) meets at 6.30 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1710 N. 12th St.

Superior: The Richard I. Bong Veterans Historic Center will hold its annual fundraiser virtually at 7 p.m. with the program available at https://newheights2021.givesmart.com. The Flying to New Heights auction can also be found at this link, with auctions scheduled to end at 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 4.

Saturday 6 November

Poplar: The Poplar Volunteer Fire Department will be holding its 11th Annual Pancake Breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of Peace, 9523 E. US Highway 2. The cost is $ 5 for ages 12 and up. plus, $ 3 for ages 6 to 11. Children 5 and under eat free.

Superior: BodyLabUSA Wisconsin hosts Holistic Healing and Wellness Fair at the Yellowjacket Union at UWS from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The sources of Solon: Our Savior Lutheran Church will be holding a silent auction from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Solon Spring Community Center. There will be a variety of baskets with homemade items available, as well as a sealed auction for a Winter Harvest painting by local artist Lori Sedin and a quilt. Food will be available on a pre-order and take-out basis only. Pulled pork sandwiches cost $ 8 each or two for $ 15. They include coleslaw, pickles, fries and barbecue sauce. Quarter soups cost $ 10 each, and options include a cheeseburger, chicken wild rice, or veggies. Orders must be placed before November 1st. Superior: The Lego Club at the Upper Public Library meets from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Kids are invited to build something amazing out of the library’s huge collection of Legos. Masks are mandatory to participate in the Lego Club.

Tuesday, November 9

Superior: Storytime in the park will be held at the Upper Public Library at 10:30 am The weekly event includes stories, crafts and fun for the kids.

Thursday November 11

Superior: The Elks Lodge will host a meal for veterans at the Elks Lodge, 1503 Belknap Street. A social hour will begin at 5:00 pm, followed by the opening ceremony at 6:00 pm and dinner at 6:30 pm Dinner includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, garlic bread and dessert. The meal is free for veterans with an appropriate military ID, DD-214 or a Veteran ID card. A donation of $ 8 is requested for non-veteran guests.

Saturday 13 November

Park : The Parkland Community Group is sponsoring its Vacation Expo at Parkland Town Hall, County Road K, South Range, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Over 30 artisans and sellers will make a variety of items available to buyers. There will be raffles, and food and drink will be available throughout the day. Anyone who brings a hat, mittens or gloves for the mitten tree will be entered into a draw. Admission is free and the event is accessible to people with disabilities.

Poplar: Mission Covenant Church hosts Hunter’s Expo 2021 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Attendees will be able to view mounts from northern Wisconsin’s finest deer, as well as other unique large and small game mounts. The event includes prizes, seminars, food and vendors.

Superior: The Douglas County Historical Society will be hosting a 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. craft fair at 1101 John Ave.

Lake Nebagamon: Kids in Nebagamon Holiday Craft Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Lake Nebagamon Auditorium, 11596 E. Waterfront Dr. Vendors will be on hand to sell a variety of items including quilts, jewelry, candles , wood and metal art, jams, preserves, photography, baked goods, cards and much more. There will also be a KIN Quilt Raffle, Silent Auction and Bag Raffle. Food and drinks will be available throughout the day. Free entry.
