Building Bridges to Careers receives $10,000 check from local charity

MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) — The Building Bridges to Careers organization received a check from a local West Virginia organization on Wednesday afternoon.

BB2C will celebrate ten years of successful students, successful businesses and successful communities in August.

The West Virginia Central Federal Credit Union presented a check for $10,000 as a Silver Star sponsor for the celebration later this summer.

BB2C is able to provide career mentoring, job shadowing, internships, and more to its students through partnerships with local businesses and organizations such as the West Virginia Central Federal Credit Union.

Annalisa Hall, marketing strategist for West Virginia Central Federal Credit Union, explained why she decided to partner with the BB2C.

“We decided to partner with BB2C because of their mission statement to help build careers in the community. We really think this helps our mission of helping people become financially healthy in the future and we think this partnership is a great opportunity to support our local community and our mission,” Hall said.

BB2C’s 10-year celebration will be held August 19 from 5-9 p.m. at the Marietta Shrine Club.

If you are looking to purchase tickets for the event, you can head to bb2careers.org/celebrate for more information.
